New Brick-o-Technology

The situation is becoming dire.  It's nearly August and I've yet to receive any sign that I'll be getting a new computer before I go to college.  They keep saying that I'll get it for my birthday at the end of August, 4 days before I actually go to CLU, but there's a money issue at dad's work.  Some asshat douchenozzle isn't paying the rent on a building that dad's company owns.  This  6 year old thing just isn't going to work at school.  *sigh*

Day 1

Day 1:
The first person of significance I saw was Lena of The Butterbeer Experience.  She was in line behind us to check into the hotel.  When we got there, I was still under the impression that Wrock Around The Rock was that night.  Luckily I found out otherwise before I made too much of an idiot of myself.  Then what was left to look forward to was the line party and the midnight (*cough* 11:30) showing of HP6!!  But disaster struck.  When trying to retrieve the movie tickets, we were informed that we hadn't bought any.  What??  Crap crap crap what now??  We put our names on the waiting list for tickets people bought but didn't want.  A mild to severe freakout later, Mom came into the room to tell Lizz and I that she'd gotten tickets!  Whew.  The line party itself left much to be desired.  There was some trivia and a crossword, but other than that we just sort of sat.  Once in the theatre, however, everyone in costume was invited to come to the front so people could take pictures.  Some were epic, some less so (like mine: a Hufflepuff).  What was surprising was the tumber of Tonks's!  Lizz among them, there were some pretty awesome photos taken of them with the lone Lupin.  The movie itself was great.  I've still only seen it the onc, but I think it's safe to say that Harry on Felix Filices is the best part.  The end was far too abrupt, and there was little to no explanation of the Horcruxes.  Overall though, this was the best one yet :)

Most of the movie and all of the LeakyMug were technically in Day 2, but sshhhhh.  I didn't film the LeakyMug just because I knew it would be on iTunes, and there really wasn't much of a visual.  It was 3 a.m., so I honestly don't remember much about it.  They threw candy at people and I bought a poster and a shirt that was way too small.  The poster I got signed by everyone except Sue, who couldn't make it to Azkatraz.  Melissa Anelli signed my book :)  The LeakyMug was really the first experience with a collection of people off the internet whom I greatly admire.  It was surreal, but I was too tired to fangirl, something they should be grateful about :P  Lizz and I got back to the room at 4:00 and finally fell asleep at 4:30.

Lofty Aspirations

Tomorrow I leave for Azkatraz!  I know it's going to be the best week ever, so how cool would it be if I managed to blog my experiences?  Pretty cool indeed.  SO, if time and mental there-ness allows, I'd like to try to blog about the events of my days in Potterland.  We'll see how that goes.  BOI!
